LEGO has been the greatest brand name for construction toys for years. Not only have they been well known for their original sets, but they are also now famous for their themes sets that match up with popular movies, television shows, and books. The Star Wars – Darth Vader TIE Fighter is a great addition for anyone who has bought previous sets.

The set comes with 251 pieces, and so is obviously not meant for young children. They are all movie accurate, and based off of the original concept designs that were used in the construction of the set models. This is a collectors item, to be sure, but affordable. Whether you choose to keep it as part of a larger collection or on it’s own to play with, will be up to you.

As far as how it stacks up against other LEGO sets, the Darth Vader TIE Fighter is surprisingly well made. The construction is complex and a nice project for anyone who really like to put LEGOs together, but sturdier than most older sets once it has been. This makes it easier to play with, which is nice if you are going to be helping your child put it together, and don’t want to constantly be fixing parts.
